Melbourne's Space &Time
In this design case, the idea shared with you is based on the work of Melbourne architecture and interior practice Russell & George. They believe that good design can solve the problem. They believe in spaces, buildings and cities that can improve the way we live and work. They believe in the efficiency of delivery, as well as the design of responsive scenes and social environments wherever they are. The architect said: “This is time and space. One space, multiple functions, multiple businesses, multiple people’s experiences are governed by only one factor (a specific time of day). The time of day required is used to drive the internal Reconfiguration and adaptation to achieve purposeful decoration, rather than using dynamic and reusable elements, rather than decoration for a specific purpose, resulting in the space remaining idle when not in use."
Time and space seems to be a bit of an existing architectural concept. A space will not only challenge time and space, but also become more interesting at any specific time of the day, for any specific mood and for any specific purpose, and thus become the needs of its users. It's like the inner space mixing its DNA with chameleons and clocks.
"What if a space can change its mood according to how it feels at the time? Like humans, this may mean dinner, breakfast, lunch, exercise, work, parties, special events, art, experience, workshops, production , Creating, going to the movies, gardening and socializing, but all are recycling, reuse, adaptability, nurturing, excitement and change." Space is composed of elements that create the human experience of time. Dark and bright spaces representing day and night, natural and artificial backlit ceilings representing the sky, garden walls representing organic distribution and revealing the season, and a series of wholes, both strong and sculptural, clean and tidy, rough, representing Human survival, effort, education, artistry and originality. All elements are custom designed and the product itself is the right. It is fundamentally designed to change the way we think about space.
The project can be a workplace, workshop, commercial kitchen and catering company, meeting room, event space, cafe, gallery, showroom, restaurant, private dining place, sports venue, etc., but it is not limited to all other, this is a party place.
The entire space has the following operating capabilities, but is not limited to the following modes: workplace mode, conference mode, reception mode, public mode, private mode retail/showroom mode, and last but not least installation mode. Sometimes these functions happen at the same time, sometimes not, sometimes only occasionally, but all functions use a series of customized and designed elements that are transformed through interactions throughout the day to create the space needed.
Russell & George said: "Extending the life of interiors and buildings, making them work harder, creating a dynamic collaborative structure that is not only financially motivated but also socially necessary." This is an interesting question -. Can everyone have a space? So to speak, can we bend over? Frankly speaking, this is a more challenging problem. Although you may ask yourself a question – do people really want a space that will deform like you? Or actually enjoy an experience that affects and transforms your space?
